Letting out a sigh, he gave her a single-worded response: “Gone.” To where, he wasn’t entirely sure; for all any of them knew, he could be chasing after a ghost, searching for someone that he would never find. And though these thoughts struck him now, he’d not brought them up to the male in question prior to his departure, he’d merely accepted things as they were.
