[LAUNCHES SELF AT JESS!THREAD]
Coelacanth is in the first phase of her heat and is NOT considered fertile. “During proestrus, the start of the estrous cycle, the bitch attracts male dogs, but is still not receptive to breeding.” This phase will last through April 20, 2018.

The atramentous sheepdog frolicked across the drawbridge to her water-wreathed citadel, a spiced restlessness in her paws, hot like the sting of cinnamon on the tip of one’s tongue. Her elegant head turned this way and that as she bounded ashore, swerving erratically to gather armfuls of seawater in a cavorting series of leaps; she was Aquarius, a water bearer with the aspect of air, and the water turned her feathery pelage to cephalopod ink. She moved not with single-minded purpose but with the flickering evanescence of a will-o’-the-wisp, and when the sound of laughter teased at her, tufted ears sweeping westward to celebrate it fully, she chased it.
Catlike paws blurred fluidly into a canter with flying lead changes on every stride; she appeared to be skipping as she made her way toward the mirthful laughter that had turned to cheerful, even mischievous shouting. The little wolfdog perked visibly, though she wasn’t certain if she’d been seen — her feathered tail flagged the air eagerly and her tufted ears popped atop her crown like fat, upside-down exclamation points as she made her approach. The stranger was doelike and feminine, tall and slender, with whitewater-pale fur and warm butterscotch accents. She was utterly unfamiliar to the Aralez, so Seelie wasted no time in making her own intentions known:
“Hello! I am friendly!” bespoke the dipped-down shimmy of her gamine shoulders. She mirrored the younger female’s posture, dropping to her belly in the sand and wriggling forward like an inky caterpillar with her chin pressed to her catlike paws, tufted ears smoothing against her skull as her Neptune eyes arched in a shy, cheerful expression. When she was still far enough to make a getaway if the blonde beauty appeared opposed to company, the Groenendael stopped and whuffed, granules of sand gusting from her quivering nares, gentle visage writ with curiosity.
