A part of her was angry when he lasted out and cursed at her, but she also felt guilty and sad. She hadn't forgotten what he told her about his wife and children, but it just seemed like there had to be more to it then that. It had been so long ago that even though it was something that would remain on his mind, she didn't think it would continue to effect him in his current life.

She heard what he was saying, but not having experienced it before it was hard for her to comprehend how long it would take to move on from something like that, if it was every possible. He thought that what had happened to his wife would happen to her, which made her feel as though he cared for her, but it made no logical sence. But this was a matter of the heart not the mind. She still felt bad for him but his words were harsh and she personalized them. She took them personally and thought him to be mad at her.
