The Blackthorn's heartbeat was way too fast, her breathing rapid and shallow. When she finally came to (Raven's relief was so intense she could have screamed), her eyes were bloodshot and glazed. She seemed disoriented and dizzy, and suddenly, the healer remembered Towhee's similar incident and something clicked into place. Heat poisoning.

The temperature wasn't all that hot now that the sun was going down, but the goose laying nearby was evidence that Ceara had been hunting. If she'd pushed herself hard in the course of tracking down food, then heat exhaustion made sense. All Raven could think about now was getting Ceara to water. Fortunately, from this side of the plateau (if Houkie is assuming correctly based on some of the context in Stray's first post), the lake was very close by. "Ceara...stay with me," she said, amber gaze boring steadily into her friend's gunmetal eyes. "You need to get to the lake. Can you get up?" If she could, Raven would steady her and help her hobble to the water's edge if need be. She had to get cooled down and hydrated.
