The Sunspire Get boozy, boozy, boozy

It would require very little observation on Wraen's part to realize that Wisp wasn't quite like the typical excitable, sociable month-old pup. For whatever reason, even at an age where nothing should frighten her and everything should be regarded as a friend for better or worse, Wisp took to change as poorly as a fish took to lava. New bodies either frightened her or made her uneasy and anxious, and changes in her environment were taken even less kindly. She had a routine for everything, and the sudden appearance of a wolf like Wraen disrupted it.

It was specifically the sudden appearance, for while she was hyperfocused on the clod, Wisp hadn't noticed the grey-furred wolf at all. She had been in a world of her own. To come back to herself and find someone new already there was disorienting for her, and so she slunk down to the ground and her tail wriggled submissively while her gaze kept to the woman's paws. She spoke words, prompting Wisp's ears to turn forward, but what little comprehension she had at this juncture wouldn't suffice.

She whined softly and glanced back toward the den, half-expecting that Remi or Breccan or Deshyr would come out and rescue her.
