Blacktail Deer Plateau i'm pulling down stars just to make you glow

“Don’t be,” she says with a smile, a thump of her tail. “I like it.” It’s comforting, in a way. She doesn’t have to be the one to fill the space. She’s never been great with words and this evening only proves it to be true.
 
But Saarthal leans in and presses a kiss to her forehead. Pale eyes close and she slumps a bit into her. Blixen was often too self-absorbed and though they had moments together, this feels entirely different. For once, Mallaidh doesn’t feel like she has to worry all the time. The music from earlier has left her ears but she doesn’t realize it yet, finding a lulling pull  as she makes herself comfortable next to her friend.
