Wheeling Gull Isle not unlike the waves

Koi wasn’t feeling quite up to a game of chase. In the aftermath of the confusing whorl of emotions, she wanted to be cuddled close — and with a soft, deeply wounded huff of her black button nose, she informed Sixgill and Grayling that they were falling short of her expectations in that regard, thank you very much. She returned to Thresher and Stockholm with her tail arcing uncertainly betwixt her hocks, peppering her sister’s cheek with airy puppy kisses. Thresher’s evident lift in mood and Stockholm’s constant reassurance helped to center and ground the pearl. With a soft, world-weary sigh, she tried to shove herself between Stockholm’s knee and flank.
