The Sentinels [M] little blue frog

she stared at him as they walked. she blinked, but her eyelashes did not flutter. he was staring at her so intensely dalia was beginning to become concerned. her mouth parted gently as he stayed silent, she was about to say something else-- ask him if he was okay, if he was sick... but before she had any chance to, he had lunged for her. 

it happened so quickly, dalia had no time to move. she'd gotten one quick stutter-step forwards, but was surged forwards as he leapt for her, her limbs buckling under his weight and her face falling into the ash, which coated her chest. he had grabbed and overtaking her without any hassle. it was that simple, dalia was that easy to overtake-- both emotionally and physically, she was a weak force to be reckoned with. "h-hey!!" she exclaimed, stupidly, but she was so shocked by the surprise attack that she was unsure of what else to say. 

he'd grabbed her scruff, pulled it, and as she attempted to get out from under him she stood back on her feet, but it only helped him find his position. he shifted behind her slowly and forcefully, purposefully. dalia squirmed as much as she could but he had a strong grip, and she was left helpless beneath him. 

briefly, her mind flashed to the two men who had attacked her and her mother-- broken her mothers limb. she wondered if this man would do the same to her, if dingo would snap her limb, leaving it useless forever. the only difference now was that before, portia had been there, portia had taken that blow, they'd escaped together. this time, it was only dalia. alone in the dark forest, covered in a layer of ash and hopelessly terrified.

"what are you doing?!" she asked desperately, trying now to surge forwards and away from him.
