The reddish wolf was definitely full of words that Ford had never heard before in his life. When the stranger remarked that the titan would make a good leader, the warhound quirked a brow upward and curled his smile upward in a questioning sort of expression. Perhaps it was his size or the nature in which he had greeted the rambunctious Canyon, but he wasn't entirely sure what it was that had inspired the firebrand to say something like that.

“Ah, well, I can only hope. It takes a lot to lead a group of wolves and to help them grow into what they want to be,” he remarked with a bit of a nod. There was a thoughtfulness to his tone, but he did not stray away from being polite and pleasant in his approach with the other wolf.

When Canyon went on to explain that he was from a place called Shark Key, Ford titled his ears forward to listen carefully and gather the information that was being openly shared. It was almost peculiar for the brute to hear someone speak so brazenly about where they had come from. In all his life, he had been told to keep his home a careful secret. Those who belonged to the Warsaw Islands were always welcome back, but they did not take kindly to strangers. Outsiders never understood the careful culture that they had constructed over years and years of life on the scattered and rocky keys.

“Sounds like quite the life,” he said with a quick flash of a smile. “You think you'll settle down by the sea again?”
