mona tried to keep up, setting aside what she knew from what she did not. her own family seemed tense, the children bored. she glanced amusedly to merrick, and then returned her attention to terance. murkwater eyes drank in his handsome appearance as she always did when looking at him, but mona was not so easily swayed these days. 
he dismissed them, and the little scout stood to her paws, wondering if indra would like company or if she should find something else to do. as much as she liked the hollow, it was still awkward here, and the firebrand hoped that would not always be the case.
