Kipling found she really wasn't up to explaining herself to the male, afraid it would turn into some lecture she didn't want to hear. Being caught had been embarrassing enough. Taking care to hold her tongue she merely offered the hybrid a light shrug of her shoulders as if there wasn't more to be said about it. She would've left it at that, but then noticed he suddenly took the time to scent the air. It wasn't such a strange occurrence, it was expected at the very least and would have overlooked it entirely if it were not for the rumbled question that followed.
What?
Was the first thing to pop out of her mouth. The name was so unexpected, it took a moment for Kipling to process, and then struggling to piece it together she realized he was talking about the creek pack to the East. She'd scented their borders enough to know about their presence, but that was about as far as her knowledge went. ...nooo?
Was that the right answer? She'd certainly hoped so, and would hold still if he needed further proof she was telling the truth for once.
