He watched him saunter off for a moment with a deliberating gaze, giving the cavern one last glance before stumbling off his rock, discarding the rat carcass and trailing after him. It was either die here or follow this mysterious man out into the wild unknown, but if anything Redshank was a survivor — so it was an easy choice.
