Embry watched the wolf in the interval between request and response, his gaze level and searching. Ford was a fitting name for the male, for Embry felt that indeed he was wading through a strong river. His tense features visibly softened when he was given the affirmation of his acceptance.
Welcome to the rift. There was something to be said for that phrase. He liked the sound of it, for sure, but there was also a sense of history that Embry rather enjoyed. Clearly, the pack had a deep and diverse calling. Just what was out there, Embry had no clue. But he would find out, soon enough.
"You said you were the Aegeon," Embry didn't miss a beat. "Would that be a reference to some oceanic entity?" He was taking a blind guess here, but his curiosity simply could not be abated.
