Ford thought it was silly of her to back down so quickly if she desired something out of the norm. What was the reason not to stand behind her request? Surely, he could not have intimidated her that much.

To him, it seemed that she must not have desired to scope out his land very much if she would abandon her quest so soon. After all, Ford had not denied her anything.
