He'd caught a bird, but now there was something wrong with his eye and he was asking her about it? She was no healer, but she came cautiously forward to take a look.

"Yuck," was her immediate reaction, but she tried to backpedal, saying, "Bad," and then moving forward to run her tongue over the rivulet of blood running down his cheek. "Wash with water?" she suggested, looking down toward the river. Or, actually, perhaps something cold might help? "Or - put it in snow?"
