it was once said what you do comes back to you — thorn thought of this adage wryly as he faced kazimir, her eyes sharp and posture intimidating.
he gaily rose to the challenge, thrilled to have a chance to prove himself alongside the fiery woman; the bull’s movements were hefty but not cruel, and for a while they appeared evenly matched.
just as he had been defeated by the defender of the rank he challenged, kazimir soon found herself in the same fate. keeping his fangs sheathed, thorn stepped from the willful she-wolf, a rugged grin thumbing his features. it was a hearty spat, and thorn was no less worse for it — quite the opposite, he found his spirits and appetites bolstered by their spar, and shortly thereafter made for the cache in high spirits.
