Shadewood Behold! I created this sweet potato.

he had expected minori to be hyper aware of the world. to pick up every heart beat and breath of the forest. but there was an invisible wall that she could not see beyond. it took awhile before she noticed issun and when she did she let out a ferocious snarl that could bring kings to their knees. but the fire in her eyes was blown out after a few moments.

he smiled when she whispered a name unto the boy. deku. it was such a simple phrase, but it was filled to the brim with different meanings. hope was the word that came to mind. what a fitting name.

issun we have a child! his eyes glinted and his tail started  to wag wildly. all the pain and troubles they’ve gone through was worth it. they were here now, welcoming new life into this world. “we did it,” he repeated. issun added his voice to her howl.

and when the song was finished, he settled by the entrance. “i’ll keep watch out here,” he whispered. his eyes drifted to the pale shape. this forest, the bear, takara, all those worries drifted away. his world revolved around his wife and son and them alone. for once in a very long time, he was at peace.
