for once the girl was still, not running around the place looking for something to fill her insatiable need for constant amusement, finally she had given in to the basic human need she despised most; rest. her long, golden body lay stretched along the bank of a river she'd come across and as much as she hated to admit it. she felt good, peaceful even. it was a nice enough day and the lush grass was soft beneath her as she finally gave in to the heaviness of her drooping eyelids and let sleep lay its claim on her.

she had no idea how much time had passed before a soft splashing sound roused her from the warm, fuzzy depths of sleep and she'd lift her head- blinking groggily against the bright light. the worst part about sleep wasn't the actual thing itself, it was the gross feeling afterwards. for a few moments she just lay there gathering her bearings which consisted of pushing her snout stubbornly under her paws. however she would then remember that something or maybe even someone had been what had caused her to wake in the first place so her head would now lift in one quick movement- teal eyes suddenly a lot more alert. turns out it really was worth looking, a dark boy had waded out into the shallows hence the 'soft splash noise' that had started all this.

for a few moments she simply lay in the grass- quite unlike her usual self who'd be up and in his face in seconds. no, she woud approach the situation differently today. long forepaws would slide forward in quite the luxurious stretch as she'd then rise from the flattened patch that gave away her former position. she now sat tall, much more visible now especially as the sun caught her golden pelt and let it shine bright as its own rays /probably looked even better might she add/. teal eyes danced with amused curiosity as her head would tilt to the side in her little bird like movement. for once letting the other make first contact.
