Shadowwyn Moor Everything must go

The moor was not the first place of choice for Nunataq to hunt in, but with the summer right around the corner it had become a paradise for frogs. Where there was more water and more pools, their marital croaking songs filled the air every evening. And on one occasion the mute girl had found out that the members of amphibian orchestra were not only plenty here, but also easy to catch. For the next few weeks the "sea"-food was the main dish on her menu.

No wonder that she was here today as well, fishing for the feisty little animals, and looking forward to a nice nap at the Bearclaw valley afterwards - belly full of frogs and the sunlight warming her sides. She was so focused on the task, that she would have missed Breccan's approach or his silent stalker's. However, the winds changed and brought a myriad of scents with them - those of two wolves being the most prominent. Nunataq's head shot up immediately and she tasted the air, as well as searched the area for the intruders. Life on her own had taught her to be wary of strangers, not least because they could be a fierce competition for limited resources.

At this point both parties were quite far away from her, but she remained alert.
