Oh what a day it had been, being lazy in the sun and doing absolutely nothing. That is, until the accident. The she-wolf had been starting a hunt on a fawn that had lost its mother. Her body was low while the little animal had been bleating for her mother to come back. Hunger had set into the wolf's stomach and this looked like a perfect meal.
After killing the baby, Akuji heard something in surrounding area. A scent permiated her nostirils and she shook her head in disgust, it irked something inside of her to attack it. A lynx crawled from the bushes and the two circled around one another, this was a fight for the animal the wolf had just killed, the air was tense enough to show it. The enemy jumped at Akuji.
The fight didn't last long as the lynx found that he was at a disadvantage in determination for the corpse and left, running with a yowl from his injured paw. Blood seeped from Aku's wounds, splattering on the floor. She ached, but ate her fill then dragged the fawn into a clearing. This wasn't going to be anyone else's meat except for another canine's. She hissed in pain, the adrenaline now was wearing off. There was a chip from her ear ripped off, a scratch over the front of her muzzle, a scratch down the side of her body above her front right leg, and other bruises and scrapes. Her eyes screamed pride from the fight, her body weeped the opposite. She was beaten up well, but was proud that the lynx had less of a chance for living on than she did.
