Nikai knew that he would get used to this pack and make it his own in due time, but for now he faced the pain they saw and it only made him feel more distanced. Perhaps his time would come when the pups were a bit older and he could help and teach them; for not, Nikai mostly just really missed Easthollow. The grief didn't make it any better. And it made him miss Keoni extra, too.
