They looked just like any long grasses, albeit their long shoots disappeared into a root system obscured by the river's depth. At the water's surface, the reeds were a yellowish brown, though the long blades were a vibrant green.

"I wonder what those're called," Sugar murmured, mostly to herself, though she peered curiously at Avery, wondering if her sister might know.
