The title of this thread comes from this quote, by John Muir: "The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness." Absolutely anyone is welcome!
The coast that day was on the warmer side, and there were no clouds in the sky. The breeze helped with the heat a bit, but Ellie wanted shade, and she had always been drawn to forests, anyways. So it only made sense to plunge headlong into the lovely and rugged Ravensblood Forest, though she had no idea that's what it was called. The temperature dropped at least five degrees almost instantly, which was a nice change from the heat outside. Now that she was in a better mood, she decided to explore.
The small tawny she-wolf took her sweet time walking the almost imperceptible trails of the forest, not one to charge through such beauty. Though she could be quite abrasive at times, she did find herself calmer when surrounded by nature, especially the deep greens and browns of the pinewood she was currently in. She allowed the sounds and smells to overwhelm her, becoming lost in the sensory overload of it all, and became completely unaware of where she was going...
