Ellie, who was terrible at being a wolf, really, was completely oblivious to the fact that she was about to run into the silver male up ahead. If she hadn't decided to randomly stop and look around, the situation could have ended very differently. As it happened, she did stop, and looked around, and saw the male a few feet away. Instantly, instead of greeting him like a normal wolf, she squinted at him, -- quite obviously, too -- trying to figure out why he looked so familiar.

It took a second, and then it clicked, and she began to laugh, remembering that day at the river. After a good ten seconds of laughing, she shook her head, smiled, and said to him, "Hey, guy who woke me up. How're you? And sorry about that. I can be a real pain in the ass sometimes." She knew he might very well walk away after realizing who she was, so she figured in the time she had with him, she might as well apologize. Even if he didn't accept it.
