Witch's Marsh A Toad's Memory

if marten had seen the other wolf at all, he might've stopped her from lunging at the toad -- but he hadn't noticed. in fact, he'd been so focused on the toad, lost in thought, that he didn't realize anyone else was with him until she collided right with him. there was a short tumble, one marten didn't particularly care for -- rolling in cold, wet snow and whatnot -- that ended with the pale girl atop him. not a hostile creature to any degree, marten merely shifted from beneath her, uttering a quick, nice to meet you, as if any joke felt appropriate in his head right now.
