Holly was trying to block out the sounds, everything. But a whine brought her back into reality, in a most unpleasant way. She tried to go much slower this time, but her head still shot up, only slowing down a bit. Holly winced, dizzy. Her view came into a blurry focus, eyes burning, she managed to see the shadow from earlier. This time curled into a ball, hiding his face. Squinting, the lady still couldn't place why he seemed to also be in pain. But she wouldn't let him remain that way.
Voice hoarse and quiet she spoke her mind: "Are you o-okay?" She had stumbled over the words, her mind seemed to be in a washing machine, and somebody had set it to spin. Holly had fought through the pain to this point, trying to confirm that her painful existence wasn't causing harm to anybody else. Soon though, she knew, she would have to set her head down again. The man had mentioned something about a burrow that they could go to wait out the daylight and it took Holly a second to reason that it could be the sun that was causing his discomfort.
"Let's go now." the woman responded, firm. She would not let him suffer because of her. Attempting to stand, the golden one pushed through the pain of her shoulder but couldn't manage to stand upright; she fell. Collapsed really. Pain shot through her but, as "considerate" as she was she tried again. Not even making it halfway up this time, she buried her head in her paws, disappointed that this man would have to be in pain because of her foolishness.

Smile. It looks good on you. Yes I stole this from Pinterest.
