Swiftcurrent Creek a new day's dawning

She simply smiled more as he rolled his eyes, presumably realizing his mistake. Really you would think he would know better by now. She was excited though.... if he spilled, it would definitely give her some distraction from her current situation.

"Probably not, but 'shouldn't have' isn't gonna help you know." Her tone matched his, obviously jesting, but the words were true. What was said was said, time to dish.

She met his opposite eyes, then lowered her gaze a tad, not wanting to push too much. She liked Shadow, having started a sort of friendship with him that day on the lake's edge. He met her jibe for jibe and his sense of humor made him much easier to talk to than some. There were some that she would tease until it made them angry enough to leave; she had done it before without regret. Him though... she might give him a pass if he truly didn't want to talk. Might being the key word here.

However, she didn't have to worry about it. After listening with some amusement, she shook her head. "I don't think there's much of a worse person you could ask on that front for advice. I feel like I should tell you what I would do, and then you go do the opposite." She smiled wryly. As far as luck in love went she had been drawing blanks since before she could remember. "I'd probably tell her, but I don't like holding that stuff in. Can drive a wolf mad. Maybe invite her on a hunt, or on a run of some territory?" She shrugged. "Lot of talk can happen when your trying to get from one place to another. Might give the girl a chance to know you."

"Though don't you dare let on that it was my suggestion," she threatened jokingly, "or I'll tell her myself that you were whining like a lovesick pup." Her eyes shone playfully, and her tone made it plain that it was a jest, nothing more.
