Ira was calm and collected, a stark contrast to how coiled Hieronymous was as he stared daggers at the scarred stranger. The stranger seemed relaxed, but Hiero had seen it all during his time. There were some sick bastards out there who would come off as friendly as any newborn puppy just to turn out to be some twisted asshole who took pleasure in eviscerating anything and anyone that came across their path; and for that, he would not relax. 

He let the two talk undisturbed, and his heartbeat faster as the pale man offered to share his meal. A kind gesture yes, but it had every hair on Hiero's nape prickle and a snarl formed across his lips as the other male approached. A low growl vocalized his warning that he was indeed watching this man very closely. 

Though he hoped that nothing would come of it, that all would remain the way it seemed. The knight had only just healed from the lynx attack, he didn't want to get into another scuffle - but the twisted features that split his face in a toothy display ensured that he would. Without a doubt, despite his desires not to, he absolutely would jump into the fray should things turn ugly.

Once the prey was offered and the man stopped moving, Hiero responded accordingly. Easing up just enough to show that he appreciated the approach to end where it did.
