As she watched the wolf leave, she settled down, resting her head upon the ground. She heaved a small sight, and flattened her ears, feeling ashamed of herself for having been caught in such a vulnerable position....And for having survived what had been intended as a leap into oblivion. She would eventually fall asleep, and mercifully tumble into into a dreamless state of rest while her body recovered, and would awaken later to a brighter dawn, both literally and figuratively.
