Shadewood Dreams seem so real

She was pleased to hear that her nose was correct; at least that was something had done correctly. But she quickly grew worried when Rye mentioned that there might be a large male with the group of deer. She couldn't help imagining something happening to him, and then she would be all alone again, and most upsetting was the fact that he might get hurt and it would most likely be her fault. She was the inexperienced one here, and so she regretted even bringing the deer up in the first place. 

She took some comfort in the fact that he seemed to think they might have a chance if they were able to isolate one of the smaller female deer. And she appreciated the exit plan he presented; maybe it would keep this from ending badly. She'd rather go without food another night than Rye get injured or worse. How will we chase the female from the herd without alerting the male if there is one? she asked. That seemed like it would be the most difficult task.
