He was smaller than her, which was why Haoming had not wanted to fight him yet. Not like the big, mean guy on the beach. Him, she would fight without question. And she'd win. He'd regret messing with her. 

Eyes scanned around the area for anything that they could catch. As much as she would hate to admit it, she knew they were too small to catch anything big or substantial. Maybe the slow stuff would be better. 

Her attention shot over to a small, moving creature carrying a twisty shell on its back. Haoming gave the boy a nudge, trying to get him to look at it. She dropped into a crouch, attempting to get low and make herself more quiet. The girl would let the other pup go first, because she'd tried the fish already and maybe he'd have better luck.
