The Masterless Knight

There was plenty of time to scout out the new territory that was to become her home, so Paarthurnax ventured beyond the Bypass in search of other loners who could pad out their new ranks. She travelled all morning and most of the afternoon, finding little sign of fresh tracks or scent, but was not prepared to give up.

To begin, they needed strong bodies to defend their land, prey and each other. As she padded through an unfamiliar woodland, it was the sound of an unfamiliar make voice that captured her attention. Paarthurnax pricked her tall ears and promptly headed in the direction the noise had come from, to find a strange sterling male as he spoke to... No one?

She looked around. There was not a wolf in sight besides the two of them, and he was obviously not talking to her. When he exclaimed "your highness", she smiled inwardly and pressed onward to make her presence known with a soft wuff of greeting.
