Success! His paws slammed into Glaucos' grey back, which gave way suddenly as his brother buckled under his weight. Astyanax was taken with him as they both fell forwards, with one puppy face planting into the mud and the other sent rolling off his back and tumbling into the rain outside.

The boy took a moment to regain his senses, the shock of being drenched in icy rain water stealing the air from his lungs. The mud that had only coated his paws before was now splattered all upon his dark pelt, though the longer Astyanax stood outside in the pelting rain, the more of it was washed away.

He stared back at his brother expectantly, releasing a small bark to entice him to get up and join him in playing outside, seemingly uncaring that he had forced poor Glaucos right into the mud face first.
