She felt the woman's keen gaze upon her, though she kept her own straight as an arrow. She wondered if Keres thought for a moment she was Hydra; the mistake had been made before many a time. She took no offence, of course, she was more than happy to be confused for her twin. However, Lyra's attempts to imitate Moonspear's queen were becoming far less convincing than when they were younger — it was the price one paid when their mirror image had become so infamous, she supposed.
Her musings were interrupted by Keres' words, who admitted she had never seen so much rain either. It was a strange phenomena, especially on the back of the earthquakes not months before — like some collection of gods were toying with their lives for Their own amusement. Not that she believed in such higher beings.
A soft smile spread across Lyra's features as Keres expressed concern for those below them. "Amekaze and Charon chose well when they settled upon this mountain," she said, her blithe tone making it clear she cared little for those who lived in the low lying plains. It was of no consequence to them — or, at least, to her — whether those packs lived or died. She turned to her fellow Ostrega. "How did you find yourself on our borders?" Lyra found it funny, of all the places she could have chosen, she turned up exactly where her own brother was.
