Though Chanel's questions were answered in some ways, in many ways she felt even more perplexed than before. Niamh's words were cold and biting- talk of inbred wolves had Chanel nearly clutching her pearls at the absolute impurity, and her wide chocolate gaze swept across the strangers as if to question whether her packmate's words were, God forbid, true. Why, of course they were true, she told herself! Chanel knew the Firebirds were a good family of people; if Niamh thought these people were an impure threat, surely they must be. She listened with ears canted ahead when Célnes spoke- and might've nearly reconsidered her opinions, until the stranger proved her insanity at the end of her speech. A woman who called herself a King! Chanel knew what she felt was wrong- and could not understand why a woman would call herself such a thing. The men beside the insane woman had bared their fangs, which truthfully intimidated the diva- but seeing Prim had the same fears, she knew she could not let her worry show on the outside. Célnes' question went unanswered. Usually Chanel valued common courtesy and good manners, but that was thrown out the window when these beasts of men bared their fangs to two women and a child. How terrible they were! Primrose ended up introducing the rosy woman for her, but she shifted past him- even if he wanted to push to the front, she would stand beside him. She was a babysitter. The role of that job wasn't exactly meat shield, but if a child was hurt on her watch... she'd be a failure. I wouldn't let these ruffians touch you, She whispered quietly to Primrose alone as she leaned slightly towards the boy, ducking over him though her warm gaze was trained rather nervously on the strangers. Ears were pinned to her head while long dark lashes beat defiantly at the male deerwolves, Look, you scoundrels have frightened the poor boy! You ought to be ashamed of yourselves! She hissed in the manner of a mother scolding a young bully.
