Mother Nature did not drive them out, rather the forces of their own kind. Who was at fault remained unknown, but that did not matter. It’s the fact that they’re seemingly at war is what concerned him. Had the Saints brought conflict into the hinterlands? Time will tell. Célnes did so with a smile, while he had been stoic. Their gazes did not betray their thoughts. The King gave her a quizzical look as his sister spoke. 

Luckily for them, Kynareth did not buy into her wild assumption. He gave her a silent warning, which pleased the Déorwine. Cenric could admire his ability to keep his subordinate in line, especially one of her background.
