Gailiv was starting to relish Wheeling Gull Isle. She stood in the midst of the many tide pools, watching how the breeze made holes in the water's surface. Itty bitty shells, most of them abandoned, dotted the way. It was gorgeous. Even now, as winter hung over the Teekon Wilds. So the sky was dull. So what? In the darkened mirrors of the pools it looked like thunder would errupt and lightening would strike at her feet.
Who wouldn't love that?
Well she thought. Gailiv thought quietly to herself as she often did.
"Silent, still, and deathly calm
Sodden earth to host a swarm
Of puddles, alive with this and that
But softly does she blow
The wind to make the water flow
The mussels, clams, stranded thusly
The limpet, the hermit's hat
Til the sea comes in again
Then stuck once more
When the tide does leave
Then greets another: the winter rain."
