The agouti roman ventured out from behind the evergreens that surrounded the lake, it was still dark but no doubt the sun would be rising soon. He always rose early, a habit in his roman pack that he never got rid off. It was a good habit anyways and he saw no reason to why he shouldn't continue rising early. The roman sat by the lake, his gaze fixed on two ducks swimming around, with a loud splash which probably alerted every single fish in the lake, he dove in and clamped his jaws tightly around one while his paw smacked against the other. He swam easily back to the shore, shook his thick multicolored pelt and sat down.

He began eating, mint colored eyes on the distant horizon as he waited for the sun to rise. He wondered if any of his other pack-mates-other than Shadow who probably rose early too-was up yet. He wanted to see the wolves he would be living with, fighting with and basically protecting. He knew he might not be the friendliest or jokey wolf around but truthfully, he was better than some other Romans.
