That wasn't what he'd intended- but perhaps he should have been more specific, and said 'good morning' so that she knew he'd been greeting her. This many months away from his homeland, and he was already beginning to find himself lapsing into a more casual way of speaking. One even the locals made fun of, apparently. Still- he wasn't so oblivious to that he didn't notice she'd made the remark as a joke. Not a particularly funny one, he thought, but it was an attempt at least. Nervous wolves made poor jokes, he thought. Perhaps she was just antsy. Then again- how comfortable did he want her to get if she was just going to make more jokes?

He shook his head in response to her question. "No. I am from very far to the North," He said. It had taken him quite some time to travel this far south, after all. "I am staying in the mountains, there, for the time being." He said "You have a pack you belong to?" He then asked, curious to get a bit of information about the area.
