for a moment, the young boy found himself annoyed. it was a sickly feeling that quickened across his features; his small face scrunched in displeasure as she made her appraoch.
he had come to be left alone.
yet. he knew the stars would always be there, as much as he knew the sun would continue to rise day in and day out. something unnamed and unnknowable, that he was too young to have possibly have recalled let alone attached any feelings to, compelled him to at least tolerate her presence.
in only a blink he had gathered his limbs like small stilts beneath him, making room to sweep his tail beneath his body. then, he lowered the front half of his body against the stone in invitation.
