The beta's own son had vanished, likely to seek his own course in life. Either way, it disheartened the young guardian. Everyone she knew was disappearing. Iota, Caracal, Heda, Veteran. Who would be next?

Calida took the day to wander, to sort through her thoughts. She was glad when she heard the call for her. She responded with her own low howl, letting Reyson know she was coming. Maybe a spar would be just what she needed to feel better.

She approached the soldier with an easy grin. "Reyson. How are you?"
