thursday evening is content in his little nest made of warm furs beneath him and even warmer fur of his mother's flank. he coos in his sleep; soft vibrations that he barely registers as feeling in his deep milkdrunk slumber. he sighs and curls deeper in his sleep as his sister curls against him. deaf and blind but not without his sense of feeling — even if he does not understand it — thursday evening lives his life in continued contenment of a warm, wellfed newborn cub.
