that you do love me, i am nothing jealous
Truthfully, the Roman had been worried when Paar did not appear at their den at night and soon found out she was not at the Bypass at all. He had considered sending someone out (or himself) to find her and see if she was in any trouble but decided against it. She was old enough and though she might seem like a fragile flower, he knew she was strong and could fend for herself so he refrained from sending scouts. But he missed her, even if it was only for a few days. The den felt empty without her usual crimson pelt and the warmth she emitted. But he waited patiently, telling himself if she did not come back in a week or so, he would go find her. But never before. Suspicions had first crept into his mind but he shoved them away for he trusted Paar, trusted her to not betray him and it was only through his love and trust for her did he manage to not think she had left him for the Creek or Bazi or Scimitar. The meeting he had with the agouti male flashed through his mind and he stopped the dark scowl from appearing on his face, keeping a stoic, indifferent look as he sat on the hill, looking at the archway and the sunset.
A familiar soft voice jolted him out of his thoughts and though the urge to turn around was strong, he resisted it instead waited. It was her, he missed her despite it only being a few days since they had been separated but he did not tell her that, nor did it show on his features. Her bright copper eyes held warmth and a hopeful smile tugged at her lips. She apologized, touching her muzzle to his cheek, he leaned away for a brief moment, hoping to tease her before a broad grin spread over his features and he turned to her, fervently kissing her. The Roman did not care where she went, or who she met on the way, or why she went as long as she was still here with him. "I'm just glad you're back," he said softly, touching her crown with his nose affectionately. "The den was empty, felt empty without you,you know. I had to sleep outside, in the Silva Stellarum, the stars made me think about you again so I had to move beside the lake but that didn't really help so in the end I just slept outside our den." The sterling wolf missed her so damn much but he did not yell at her, be mad at her for leaving without notice for she was an adult and he knew he himself sometimes left without telling anyone either. But that was typical for him and not for her.
"I missed so so much, my love." he growled softly, gently, playfully.
