Ouroboros Spine Living like a low life

Soon, star hunter came to view. She watched for a moment, gaze softer than it had been before. With the days he had been gone, it was a joyous thing to see her face.

Then she spoke. Shikoba was satisfied with his work. He had proven himself. Inutsuk exhaled with relief. But when she came forward, snout against his own, a soft whine escaped him. Oh, how long he had waited to feel her near him again. 

"... promise me you will not leave me again."

Almost immediately, he pushed his crown against her own, then bestowed a kiss upon her cheek. His tail wagged blithely behind him. Never again. I am home... home to stay. A promise he refused to ever break. Never again would he leave her side, nor that of Moonglow.
