Reno’s ear swiveled as he listened to Colt.
They wouldn’t stick around to attack the creek. They’d move north until they had grown and could take down the group of wolves after they’d grown comfortable – after they had kids. The dusty figure looked to Briggs with an unreadable expression. He wasn’t no baby killer. His heart was not as set on revenge. Reno wanted them to pay, yes… but not so badly that he would steal the life from their young ones.
They’d travel north and find somewhere to make their plans.
It was the only cryptic thing he might offer. For now, Colt was in charge. Reno would follow until he needed to step up with the voice of reason. The Gang came first. They had lost two of their members after the events of the creek attack. They would be due for payback.

Longer we wait, the bigger they’ll grow. North might give us some more bodies, though. Could come back strong.
