Mature Content Warning

The participants have indicated the following reason(s) for this warning: gore

Her battle cry stirred something within him. A single massive paw was absentmindedly placed closer to the edge of the cliff, a decorative gargoyle perched upon the edge of his castle. The way the Spartan woman clambered the side of the opposing cliff was to no avail. The wet sediment that held the rubble together on a dry day had no chance against the downpour that raged above them. She would never make it out of this alive. And while the idea of her demise sounded appealing in theory, to see it under such circumstances felt dishonorable for someone of his kind, regardless of their differences.

In a state of mindfulness, Leonidas felt everything around him slow as he weighed his choices. To let her fail and die or to intervene and showcase his power? Raindrops fell like snowflakes as the clock almost stopped, only to speed up again after the gladiator launched his attack from the spectator stand. If Artemis had sent this trial, the golden cloaked warrior would see to it that he took the victory for himself.

Leo sunk daggers firmly into the boar's backside, both claws and teeth hooking in tight to anchor the pig down into the mud just inches from its crying offspring. The boar would then be unable to continue its charge toward Dysis, but instead be forced to twist back in an attempt to free itself.

Ivory tusks flailed blindly as the creature screamed in horror at the sick turn of events, unable to aim accurately as the weight of Death drug it to its knees. There was another flash of teeth after using his grip to pull the bleeding pig closer to his chest. This time, they found their way to a pulsating jugular vein. Back and forth he jerked his grip, and Leonidas searched for Dysis' violet gaze as he slowly tore the head of the beast from it's body. All was serrated save for the spine, which as one could imagine would take quite a bit more gnawing than fat or muscle.

Taking a moment the Roman straightened himself, rising from the carcass, from his trophy. He had done it, and yet as elated as he felt in the moment he dare not let it show. Callously he watched as the young pig fled, it's dead mother's blood trickling down the jagged cliffside after it, then looked to the Godly woman. Leonidas nosed the boar closer to her, both an offering and a show of power in one. If he could not kill her, he would find other ways in which he could win over her.
"The strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must."
