Lake Bismuth BWP: Square-like

Tumbleweed had just caught sight of the flash of blue he'd been searching for in the water when he heard the repetitive pattern of footfalls. He looked up to see a wolf bounding along, toward him with such familiarity that he felt ashamed to not recognize him. He was greeted with such friendliness he felt sure he'd either been mistaken, or he'd met this wolf before- but had forgotten who it was. 

A bit conflicted but still welcoming of the wolf and his joyous energy, Tumbleweed stepped out of the water in time to catch the hazel-eyed wolf's greeting. He felt lightly relieved to realize he wouldn't be put in the awkward position of trying to scramble for the man's name, though the stranger's enthusiasm and trust made him lightly uncomfortable. 

"Tumbleweed." He replied quietly. He didn't look back into the pool, not wanting to draw attention to the rocks at the bottom of it in case this wolf was a treasure hunter. He smelled of other wolves, though not the same ones that the miserable coyote had come from.
