It'd been long. Procrastination, learning the path to somewhere they'd never been. A long shot, a farcry, and he put all of his trust into Malakai. He trusted him. In every way, he showed that. Somehow, they were alive.
Be it Gods will or their own, he somehow did not believe they would. He'd never tell Malakai this. Not once.
Tired, hungry. The basic exhaustions of a wolf, one pathetic and frankly sorrowful. He did not intend to come to moontide as scrap in need of help.
Even if it were truth. For himself---- and for his boy.
"This. This, I believe we are close." He heaved. They would find out. It smelled of wolf. Very strongly. "If we are turned away, are you prepared to go back? Or to continue forth?" Going back to the island in its current state was hardly an option. But he presented it even so.
