It was safe where she was, and with each passing hour, her previously waning essence grew stronger. Her slumbering little form began to relax, following the instinct to grow, grow, grow - to become.

Suddenly, there was something new. Not quite awake, but not fully asleep either, she was being assaulted by something wet and warm. What?! She wiggled half-heartedly in protest, making a mild fuss before ending up on her sienna-colored back, white belly exposed. She promptly fell back into a twilight slumber, forepaws folded against her chest as a soft snore suddenly escaped her throat.
