Luckily for Akavir, Foxglove was an easily soothed child. She quieted almost immediately, sniffling as the man nosed her to her feet and spoke of calling for mama. She nodded, trying to wipe some of the mud from her face without realizing that her paw was even muddier. Then she did realize and dropped her paw miserably.

She just wanted her mother.

Her eyes welled with tears again. For once Foxglove had nothing at all to say. She only looked at the man helplessly, waiting for him to make the world okay again.
